Fall & Spring Jackets for Women, Blazer for Women–moncler mens jacket

How To Transition Into Fall With Spring Colors And Items

It’s safe to say that all of us have started transitioning into fall in one way or another. Last week we had a terrible heat wave in Los Angeles. I think it was the hottest weather we have had in Los Angeles this summer and of course it was in September….We finally got relief from the heat over the last couple of days and I hope it stays this way. I’m personally so ready for fall and fall clothes, moncler hat especially fall jackets for women.

This past weekend when we went out for dinner, veste moncler I wanted to wear a transitional look into fall, moncler jumper even though it is still essentially summer here in Los Angeles. Sometimes you can wear your transitional clothes in this city well into fall since it doesn’t get cold until a lot later on. Saturday night I decided to wear some of my spring pieces, moncler homme but style them in a way to end up with a transitional look into fall. I have put together a few of my thoughts and ideas to share with you a few key tips how to do this.

  1. Do you want to wear one of your spring jackets for women? Wear a bright color jacket that is typically a spring summer color. I am wearing my coral Zara blazer here which is more of a spring/summer color but the way I have styled it with my jeans and printed scarf, moncler online shop brown shoes and accessories, moncler womens jackets it can easily be taken into early fall.
  2. Try open toe booties or sandals that cover more than a typical sandal but can be worn without tights or hosiery. I am wearing my brown gladiator sandals that I bought beginning of summer but because of the color and the amount of coverage I can easily take it into early fall.
  3. Wear a bright color or pattern scarf as an accent. You can wear a scarf with any summery look and it will take it into an early fall look. I am wearing my bright animal print and floral mix scarf and I love it with my tank top when I take off my jacket.

I hope these are some useful pointers that you can use and expand on,moncler mens jacket I am sure there are more but these were the ones that applied to my outfit from last weekend.

What are your thoughts on transitioning into fall with mixing some spring pieces? Do you own the perfect spring blazer for women to create this look?

My Favorite Looks From 2015 European Resort Shows–moncler sale

My Favorite Looks From 2015 European Resort Shows

Last week I presented to you my favorite looks from 2015 New York resort shows and I promised you I will present you with my favorite looks from 2015 European resort shows this week.  It was a lot harder to edit the European shows and pick my favorite 16 looks because I was covering three different countries, moncler ski jacket England, moncler shorts Italy and France.  I decided to pick more designers but less looks from each one.  I know for the fall and spring shows I will have to cover each country separately.  But resort shows are not as big and as I explained last week not all designers show resort.

I noticed with New York shows there wasn’t a lot of color shown and I was hoping that the 2015 European shows would have a bit more.  But unfortunately all the looks I liked were still neutral or black and white.  There were a few more dusty colors like a baby blue from Gucci that I loved and a dusty pink from Max Mara.  Typical resort colors are navy and white with red or gold.  You will always see this combination in stores around end November to mid December which is when resort is delivered to stores.  But now since designers are approaching resort like a pre spring show, moncler acorus I guess any color combination goes.

I hope you enjoy these and let me know which ones are your favorite looks.

Stephanie Jacket Styled For Day Time Look To Date Night Look

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We decided to do something last weekend we had not done in a long time, moncler kids go bike riding!

We got an early start Saturday morning, moncler shorts drove down to Santa Monica beach, monclere parked near the third street promenade and then walked down to the pier to rent bikes for a couple of hours.

We headed off toward Marina Del Rey and after an hour we headed back to the pier enjoying the weather and all the Venice board walk has to offer.  I hadn’t done this in such a long time and I definitely felt it in my legs and lower back the next day but it was all worth it.

If you follow me on any of my social media sites like Instagram and Facebook, moncler gamme bleu then you should have seen my picture next to my orange bike. Afterwards we had a wonderful lunch by the beach and then we went to see the “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.  Like many others, moncler jassen we loved the first one, moncler jumper so we really wanted to see how this one compared.  As usual, mens moncler the second one was not as good as the first one, moncler womens coats nevertheless it was still funny and we enjoyed it.

Moving on to my look for today, moncler soldes I have wanted to do a story showing one of our jackets styled for a daytime look and how simple it is to just change your bottom and make it into a date night look.  I decided to do this with our Stephanie jacket which is a perfect spring and summer jacket.  Many of you have nine to five office jobs and have to dress a certain way to the office.  Once you are done at work and want to run out to a dinner party, moncler grenoble drinks with a friend or a hot date night, you don’t want the same formal office look.

All you have to do is take your best jeans (black or blue) in the car with you and you can change from your skirt into your jeans and you are good to go.  Of course there are other pieces you can change as well, like your shoes, bag, or even your top, but the way I have decided to style mine is by simply just changing into jeans and changing my bag from a big slouchy bag into a trendy clutch. I have kept everything else the same including my shoes, belt and jewelry.

Speaking of jewelry, this beautiful silver multi chain necklace and earrings are one of the few silver tone pieces we have available for sale on our web site.  Personally I gravitate more towards gold tones, as it looks better with my complexion, but I do love silver as well and as some customers have requested, I will have more silver jewelry available for sale on the web site in the near future.  For now this is a great piece and you get matching earrings with it as well.  It is available by clicking here

How do you change from a day time look into a date night look when you have no time to go home and get changed? And what do you think of my look?

My Favorite Looks From The Paris Spring 2015 Shows

Paris is the grand finale of the big four fashion show destinations for each season.  It was no different for this years Spring 2015 fashion shows.  Paris, moncler t shirt the capital of fashion, moncler cap as it has been referred to for many years was the last destination for all the fashion magazine editors, moncler trainers models, moncler shirt celebrities and bloggers to travel to.  And let me tell you it was worth the wait.
What makes a city like Paris a fashion capital is its history of course.  The fashion industry was founded in 1858 in Paris by Charles Frederick Worth, moncler jacket sale who was the first haute couturier.  Since that time so many famous names have started in Paris like Balenciaga, moncler mens Dior, moncler tracksuit Givenchy, moncler womens jackets Chanel, monclere just to name a few.  These design houses have been going strong for years and even though they have gone through many different designers they have managed to stay on top of the fashion world. Last week they certainly did not disappoint.  In my opinion Paris had the most beautiful collections for spring 2015.  This is not always the case for me and there are many times when I like New York or Milan more than Paris but this season I fell in love with a lot of the looks from Paris.  There were a lot of beautifully made, moncler ski jacket luxurious and chic looks that were timeless and classic and I think that is the true meaning of high end designer level fashion.

Here are some of the key elements and trends that I picked up from Paris spring 2015 shows:

  1. Lots of black and white
  2. Sheer and transparency
  3. Suede
  4. 70’s vibe
  5. Rope ties
  6. Belts and ties
  7. Feathers
  8. Stripes
  9. Pastels
  10. Mesh and cut-outs
  11. Fringe

It was extremely difficult for me to edit the Paris show pictures since I liked so many looks. Unfortunately I couldn’t show you all the looks in one post and I had to edit.  Below you can see the looks that I liked best.  In the mean time take a look my favorite fooks from the Paris Spring 2015 shows and let me know which ones are your favorites?

History Of The Leather Jacket

Earlier this week I showed you a look wearing my favorite leather jacket.  I wanted to continue writing a bit more about leather jackets and a brief history on them.  Also I wanted to share with you some of my favorite leather jacket street style looks and some great leather jacket deals from Nordstrom.

Here are some interesting facts on the history of leather jackets:

  • In early 1900’s brown leather flight jackets were worn by aviators and members of military.
  • During WWII they became known as the “Bomber Jacket”.
  • In 1928 Irving Schott designed the first motorcycle jacket and sold it for $5.50 (that’s right) at a Harley Davidson store in NYC.
  • In 1953 the leather motorcycle jacket reached iconic status after Marlon Brando wore it in the movie “The Wild One”.
  • Soon after James Dean followed by wearing his famous leather jacket in “Rebel Without A Cause” making it the ultimate symbol of cool.
  • In 1960’s this cool factor continued with Steve McQueen wearing his leather jacket with his famous aviator sunglasses.
  • “The Fonz” from Happy Days continued the tradition in 1970’s with wearing his famous leather jacket that is now on display at Smithsonian Institute.
  • The 80’s brought the punk rock look with Blondie and Billy Idol decorating their leather jackets with studs and safety pins.

Today leather jackets are included in all the fashion shows and stores at many different price points and I think I can easily say that almost every woman and man will have at least one leather jacket in their life time.

Below I have picked some of my favorite street style looks showing how different women wear leather jackets.  I have also selected some of my favorite leather jackets from Nordstrom that are on sale right now in case you are looking for a leather jacket.

JACKETS AS ARCHITECTURE – THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE TWO FIELDS Before I decided to go into fashion design and apply to Otis College of Art and Design, online fashion store I was seriously considering going into architecture for a while, moncler kinder but at the end fashion won over.  I have always had an interest in architecture and I truly believe there is a connection between creative people who are drawn to both fields.  There are a lot of parallels between the two, moncler bambino from designing shapes and working with proportions that need to work together to the outside aesthetic of materials that need to be pleasing to the eye, moncler jumper I feel the two fields are related in many ways. Its Not Fashion – It’s Architecture – by Allison Engel

The USC School of Architecture students learn the fine points of manufacturing, moncler jacket sale construction, moncler gilet and problem-solving as they craft wearable creations with unusual materials. Look at this project the A jacket made from thumbtacks and caulk. Another created entirely from industrial zippers. Look at this spiky fabric composed of kitchen matches. How about a bumpy fabric of 12,moncler cap244 pencil erasers, moncler jakke sewn one by one in a colorful chevron pattern? These were a few of the solutions that fifth-year USC School of Architecture students devised while creating unique Mao jackets in a studio called “Truth in Making, An Architectural Inquiry.” Fourteen jackets were displayed in an exhibition March 7, and the project attracted off-campus attention, including that of Frances Anderton, host of KCRW’s Design & Architecture program and blog. The assignment from Associate Professor Lee Olvera was clear and brief: Select two materials maximum. Experiment with joinery, creating a skin or “fabric,” testing all potential material properties. After two weeks of speculating about how the materials will perform, select your materials. Once committed, you may not switch. Print out the studio-selected pattern for a Mao jacket, chosen for its conformity and lack of detail. Construct a wearable jacket. You have five weeks, start to finish. “They must think with their hands,” said Olvera, who has given the assignment annually since 2012. “There’s no hiding behind a drawing or a diagram or just waving your arms and saying ‘it’s going to be beautiful.’ If it won’t work, it won’t work. “It’s not Project Runway,” he said. “It’s an exploration of program and function. In architecture, we’re called upon to design the skins of buildings all the time. This project infuses our intuitive skills of artistry and aesthetics with the rigor of analytical and performance-based material experimentation to create innovative working solutions.” Class materials from the hardware store? Past students responded with unlikely materials (orange ear plugs, crayons melted into new shapes, woven rubber bands), and this year’s students continued that tradition, using copper grounding wire, acrylic paint and – appropriately enough – 5,500 round metal pins with Chairman Mao’s face printed on them. (Student Yimeng Wang ordered them from China.) Several came up with time-consuming recipes for turning their raw materials into fabrics. Corey Koczarski started with Rockite, a substance used for patching cracks in concrete. He cast Rockite in silicon molds, experimenting with thicknesses and profile to come up a shape that could be reproduced 4,948 times and linked together. Lillian Lin had no fewer than six steps for turning artist’s gel into the skin of her jacket. She colored the clear gel with fabric paint, spread it on a sheet, scored lines on the surface, dried it, wove the gel into strips, then ironed them flat before shaping her front, back and sleeve pieces. The hours the undergraduates spent in their Watt Hall studio stretched late into the night, early mornings and weekends. Snags developed. Nick Tedesco discovered that it took about 10 hours to hand-sew a square foot of his colored pencil erasers. “Getting the sleeves on was a nightmare,” he said. “You are mentally fatigued working for hours and hours. The erasers rip and tear. “If something looks good on paper and make sense, you can’t be sure it will always work. But you problem-solve. I think a lot of architecture is like that.” Yoonji “Angie” Nam’s unexpected outcome was that the acrylic paint she arranged in circle patterns on Teflon baking sheets took weeks and weeks to dry. When the jackets were displayed March 7, hers appeared as a vest. “I have sleeves but they are not dry,” she explained, brushing white paint from her hair and face. “I think to dry the inside will take one month.” Some surprises were happy ones. Tamar Partamian, who laboriously wove the strands from seven cassette tapes, found that the resulting fabric was much silkier and shinier than expected. “When you see a small individual unit, it’s different from seeing the whole,” she said. Sean Miller, whose thumbtack jacket fell apart days before the exhibition (the caulk wouldn’t hold the smooth metal surface), called the process a struggle. “I think I did learn more being this risky, this extreme and having it fail,” Miller said. “I really pushed myself and learned more than if I picked a safer choice and was more successful. You also have the more difficult and more valuable conversations about your work.” At the exhibition, the designers happily spent hours explaining their projects to onlookers. Several tried on their jackets, proving they could be worn. Calvin Lee, whose lightweight garment of crocheted electronics wire had the most tailoring details (four working pockets with flaps, a pointed collar and buttons), said he was considering wearing his jacket to graduation.

Labor Day Weekend At The Parker Palm Springs–cheap moncler jackets

Labor Day Weekend At The Parker Palm Springs

I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day weekend, moncler shirt we certainly did! With my son being away at college, moncler shorts we decided to take a few days off and head out to Palm Springs for our last attempt at getting some sun and well deserved end of summer R&R.
We have been to Palm Springs many times over the years as it is less than a two hour drive from Los Angeles. There are a lot of great classic hotels that have been seeing a resurgence recently, moncler men especially the smaller boutique hotels that still have that legendary Palm Springs resort feel to them. For this trip, cheap moncler we decided to stay at “The Parker” and we had an amazing experience enjoying this kind of Palm Springs “time capsule”. The Parker as it is commonly called has gone through many changes over the years. The hotel location was originally California’s first Holiday Inn in 1959 until Gene Autry purchased it in 1961 and renamed it the Melody Ranch /Autry Hotel and added many luxuries to the hotel including additional pools, moncler jassen restaurants and tennis courts.
In 1994,moncler jackets he sold the resort to his hotel director Rose Narva who then changed the site into an ornate French décor hotel inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany’s fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy and it was re-named The Givenchy Hotel and Spa. For several years after the sale, moncler mens jacket Gene Autry and his wife continued to live on the property in a large private home located at the back of the property. The house is still part of the property today and is rented out as one of the hotels suites. In 1998 the hotel was purchased by Merv Griffin who then named it The Merv Griffin Resort Hotel and Givenchy Spa and it quickly became a hot spot for Hollywood celebrities again. Fast forward to 2003 and it was purchased again this time by hotelier Jack Parker, moncler vest who hired designer Jonathan Adler to completely redesign the space.
After a $27 million facelift, moncler outlet uk the property reopened in 2004 under the name Le Parker Meridien or the Parker Palm Springs as it is also known. This hotel has a classic era resort feel to it,moncler parka I love the eclectic décor using mid-century modern furniture combined with art and global pop culture artifacts which are a signature look for Jonathan Adler.
With the temperatures being as hot as they were we were mostly in our bathing suits and by the pool, but I wanted to show you this soft wrap jacket as a resort look. I bought this soft kimono wrap jacket at the beginning of summer but didn’t have a chance to wear it until now. I love the shape and design and how it drapes so beautifully over anything you wear it with. I chose to wear it with my simple black spaghetti strap dress because I love how the two soft shapes combine together. The colors being black and grey I wanted to add a pop of color, hence my red clutch.
I know kimono wrap jackets were a big trend this summer so what about you, did you get one?
