Visiting Downtown Los Angeles Wearing My Soleil Jacket.

Last Saturday night we were invited to a great friend’s birthday party at a “secret location” which was only revealed on the day of the event by calling the “hotline” to make it extra special and unique.  The address was 409 west Olympic, moncler jacke right at the corner of Olympic and Olive St in downtown Los Angeles.  The building is called  “The Reserve” which was once the home of Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco that includes vaults, moncler jakke secret passages, moncler uk an underground shooting range and an armored car turntable in the basement. It was originally built in 1929 and occupied by the bank from 1930 until the early 1980’s. In 1984 it was placed on the nationl registry of historic places and then finaly renovated in 1990 into 78 luxury live/work lofts.

The party took place in the huge marble and stone lobby with 20 foot ceilings and was beautifully decorated with a pool table, cheap moncler oyster bar, moncler soldes grand piano, moncler down jacket photo booth, moncler shirt artwork and so much more, moncler bambino all magically lit. The ambiance, moncler trainers food and the company was great so we had a wonderful time.
Since we were going downtown for this party, monclere we decided to get there a little earlier and do our blog shoot for this week. Lately downtown Los Angeles has become one of my favorite go to locations to use as a backdrop for my photo shoots. With all the new developments and renovations taking place down there, you can’t help yourself  but be drawn to the energy and vibe that is taking place downtown. I also thought this would be a great opportunity to wear my gold Soleil jacket again, so this time I wore it with my brand new harem pants that I bought recently from Zara. I love these pants, they are so comfortable and casual yet you can easily dress them up with some heels and a great top or jacket like I have done here. I am wearing it with a simple black camisole and a beautiful vintage Moroccan necklace that I love and have had for years.

What do you think of this look?

Wearing My Shrunken Blazer As A Cardigan

Having lived in Los Angeles for most of my life, kids moncler I can easily say that I am used to the heat waves that usually come along from July to September. The only good part about these heat waves is that we don’t get much humidity. For the most part, moncler ski jacket they are bearable if you have air conditioning. I personally like warmer climates, mens moncler as I love the sun (I am a Leo after all),moncler moka so living in Los Angeles suits me. The only thing that I miss about not experiencing colder winters is the fashion aspect. As you already know I love coats and blazer jackets for women. But living in Los Angeles sometimes limits you with your winter wardrobe. That said, moncler tracksuit I recently noticed how I still use jackets most of the time when I go out, moncler kinder even if it is during the summer. The main reason for this is the “air conditioning” that is blasting in every store, moncler lans restaurant, moncler femme bank and office you walk into during these months. I am glad all these places have the air conditioning or else we would not last in the heat, moncler kids but for that same reason, moncler coats I find myself always having a jacket, cardigan, or blazer for women with me when we are going out. This is especially prevalent when we are going to restaurants, since I seem to get seated right under the air conditioning vent every time and have to switch places with my husband (who loves the cold air). I am not complaining because this is all a good excuse to wear more jackets right??

Last weekend when I was going out to dinner with my husband I decided to wear one of my favorite summer jackets that I have had for years. I bought this Theory shrunken blazer years ago when shrunken blazers were a trendy item. Even as a designer of jackets for women, I have worn it many times and continue to do so especially for summer nights. What I love about this shrunken blazer is that it is almost like a cardigan. It is made of a soft, stretchy cotton material and has no lining or shoulder pads which gives it a more casual feel. I am wearing it here with my red floral printed dress. I don’t usually go for big bold prints, but when I saw this dress years ago, I fell in love with the print, color and the silhouette. It’s been one of my favorite go-to dresses for summer ever since.

Tell me what your feelings are about air conditioned spaces and if you find yourself needing a jacket or cardigan like me?

Black Coat Over A Fun Dress For My Holiday Look

Its Christmas week and I am happy to say I’m finally finished with all my Christmas shopping and wrapping and I am now starting to relax and get into holiday spirit.  We are going to my nephew’s’ house on Christmas Eve for dinner and  family gift exchange and will be staying home on Christmas day.

As you may or not know, moncler uk I am married to an Englishman (my blog photographer) and we have a tradition of staying home on Christmas day. It’s a very cozy, moncler polo shirt casual and relaxing day and it’s my favorite part of Christmas.

Don’t get me wrong I love dressing up during the holidays and going out, moncler mens and we do plenty of that as well.  Speaking of parties, moncler size chart last weekend we attended a Christmas party in Pasadena, online fashion store and this was a great chance to dress up a little for the holidays.  I love mixing a feminine dress with a masculine tailored jacket or coat.  I decided to wear my soft, moncler jakke feminine printed dress which has a little bit of red in it (perfect for Christmas right) and add my tailored black coat that I love and don’t get a chance to wear that often.  The red in the dress was the perfect excuse to add my red sandals and jewelry, giving it more of a Christmas theme.

London Fall 2015 Shows And Tom Ford Showing In LA–moncler women

London Fall 2015 Shows And Tom Ford Showing In LA

The London and Milan fall 2015 shows have already come to a close and we are now in the middle of the Paris fall 2015 shows.  As you know I like to do a recap of all the shows every season and today it’s London’s turn.  But before I get into the London shows, moncler shirt I wanted to mention that this season Tom Ford, moncler outlet who normally shows his collection in London, moncler gamme rouge decided to show his collection in Los Angeles.  His main reason to change venues was that the Oscars fell at exactly the same time as London shows and he had to be in LA to dress celebrities for the Oscars, moncler outlet uk so why not change it up a bit.  I thought it was nice to see Los Angeles getting in on the fashion week action.  I have included my picks from his show on my London recap.

As far as the  rest of the London shows, moncler hats I have to say I was a bit disappointed and found myself struggling to find any great jackets or outerwear ideas to share with you.  A lot of the trends were similar to New York’s shows with 70’s being on top of the list.  Normally I like the 70’s look if it is modernized to some level but I struggle with it when it is too hippy looking. I like taking some elements like fringe or suede but you have to update the look to make it modern and relevant for now.

The main trends that I picked up on for outerwear were:

  1. The 70’s
  2. Leather
  3. Suede
  4. Patchworks
  5. Metallic and shimmery fabrics
  6. Brocade
  7. All types of Fur
  8. Fringe
  9. Belted and wrapped
  10. Capes

A few other elements that I pick up on that were not necessarily jacket related were lots of flare pants, moncler shoes mismatched patterns worn together or as the fashion world calls it “mix and clash” which is not one of my favorite looks, moncler bady wall paper prints, moncler jassen and denim.

Below you can see what I have picked as my favorite looks, mens moncler jacket Let me know in the comments which ones do you like – it is always so great to hear from you all?

Paris fashion week is THE fashion week of all fashion weeks, moncler gilet a grand finale’ of the big four destinations.

A lot is always expected of the Paris shows and this year they surely delivered.  This fall season my favorite shows were mostly from Paris.  So much so that I could not edit them and decided to use a different format for posting my pictures so I could squeeze in more looks.  As you will see below, moncler mens jacket for this blog story, moncler lans I have put three pictures from each designer together to save space so I can feature more designers and more looks that I liked from all their collections.

From the pop up brasserie set at Chanel, online fashion store to the facial piercings at Givenchy and Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller walking the Valentino show to announce Zoolander 2,moncler outlet store the Paris shows were a nonstop feast for the eyes.  There was so much creative energy and inspiration packed into this one week of fashion events and shows, moncler acorus I loved it!

Even though there were some common trend elements in Paris that were seen in other cities fashion weeks, moncler pet mainly the 70’s influence, moncler size chart I felt Paris still had its own trends that were unique and not as universal as seen in the other shows.

Here are some of the key trends that I pick up on from the Paris shows:

  1. Sleeveless coats
  2. 70’s but with a twist
  3. Punk mixed with tailored looks
  4. Brocades and Jacquards
  5. Fur
  6. Pattern mix
  7. Tweeds
  8. Velvets
  9. Belts and ties
  10. Deconstructed looks and seams
  11. Extra long sleeves
  12. Floor length coats

There are so many great trends to pick and choose from here especially for jackets and outerwear.  As usual I love the tweeds and the interesting pattern mixes mainly at Haider Ackermann, moncler store Chanel and Lanvin.  It was so nice to see rich fabrics like velvets and brocades making a comeback but in a modern way for a change.  Even though they are not necessarily jacket related, moncler jakker I also loved all the neck ties at Chloe and floral corsages at Dries Van Notten.
