Womens vests have always been one of my favorite wardrobe pieces after jackets, moncler outlet but I have had a hard time finding vests for women in stores. On occasion, moncler mens jacket I have had to buy men’s vests in small sizes and have them altered to fit me. For this reason, moncler t shirts whenever I come across a great women’s vest while shopping I make sure to grab it. The vest I am showing you today is one of those finds. Besides the fact that I love the pattern, moncler jacke I also love the shape and the cut especially in the back. I have worn this vest in many different ways, veste moncler but this time I decided to wear it with my wide leg trousers. Since the armhole of the vest is cut really low, moncler beanie you can wear any kind of top under it but I chose to wear a tank top because it is currently quite hot in Los Angeles, moncler uk and I wanted to stay cool.

I have been working on some new jackets and blazers for women for Jacket Society and I have been thinking of adding some vests to the line, moncler jumper so I thought this would be a good opportunity to ask your opinion about vests. Hi! I’m Heather Wyancko. This year my husband and I relocated to KCMO from DENVERCO where I had been working as a booking agent and photographer at the biggest (and best!) talent agency in the mountain region. Looking to fill the void once occupied by daily exposure to fashion, moncler womens style, and the exuberant creative energy that is hallmark to the industry, I naturally started a personal blog. But long before my life in the world of fashion and modeling ever began, I’d get down and dirty in my local thrift stores, snag the relics and rare finds, and piece together a personal style $20 at a time. It is in these cluttered shops that I was ‘born’ and why my blog is named ‘Thrift Stories’.

History Of The Leather Jacket–moncler hat

History Of The Leather Jacket

Earlier this week I showed you a look wearing my favorite leather jacket.  I wanted to continue writing a bit more about leather jackets and a brief history on them.  Also I wanted to share with you some of my favorite leather jacket street style looks and some great leather jacket deals from Nordstrom.

Here are some interesting facts on the history of leather jackets:

  • In early 1900’s brown leather flight jackets were worn by aviators and members of military.
  • During WWII they became known as the “Bomber Jacket”.
  • In 1928 Irving Schott designed the first motorcycle jacket and sold it for $5.50 (that’s right) at a Harley Davidson store in NYC.
  • In 1953 the leather motorcycle jacket reached iconic status after Marlon Brando wore it in the movie “The Wild One”.
  • Soon after James Dean followed by wearing his famous leather jacket in “Rebel Without A Cause” making it the ultimate symbol of cool.
  • In 1960’s this cool factor continued with Steve McQueen wearing his leather jacket with his famous aviator sunglasses.
  • “The Fonz” from Happy Days continued the tradition in 1970’s with wearing his famous leather jacket that is now on display at Smithsonian Institute.
  • The 80’s brought the punk rock look with Blondie and Billy Idol decorating their leather jackets with studs and safety pins.

Today leather jackets are included in all the fashion shows and stores at many different price points and I think I can easily say that almost every woman and man will have at least one leather jacket in their life time.

Below I have picked some of my favorite street style looks showing how different women wear leather jackets.  I have also selected some of my favorite leather jackets from Nordstrom that are on sale right now in case you are looking for a leather jacket.
