The Soho Jacket | Jacket Society–moncler coats

A few months ago I wrote about one of my all time favorite jackets that I had designed which was originally inspired by a kimono jacket, montcler under the title “my favorite jacket”. A while back I had this jacket made in a cute textured fabric and I wore it a lot and always got alot of compliments about it. Recently when I was coming up with jacket designs for my “Jacket Society” label I decided to include this jacket silhouette in some new fabrications.  The main reason for repeating this silhouette was of course the big trend of looser and oversized shapes happening for spring 2013 and now even into fall 2014 as well. I love the shape and especially the sleeve treatment of this jacket. It is a very unique cut that gives you that cocoon and fuller shape. This is a piece you really need to wear with a slimmer bottom, moncler hoodie like cigarette pants or skinny jeans or a slim pencil skirt. It also looks best with a tighter fitting top underneath. In my opinion this rule applies to any over sized womens jackets, moncler jackets mens blazers or coats. Slimmer and tighter looks better under bigger outerwear silhouettes.  Here I am wearing it with my favorite Rag and Bone skinny black jeans and some new sandals I just bought. Some great jewelry and a fun faux fur bag and I were good to go.  This Jacket is available for sale on our website – Click Here To Buy Now

I would love to hear what you think of the “Soho Jacket”?

Great Looking Caped Jacket For A Date Night:

After almost ten years of marriage, moncler uk we still try our best to have “date nights” regularly. I love the idea of getting dressed up for these because you can always add a little more sex appeal or something unexpected to feel more special with your partner or husband. A lot of time my “go to” outfit for these dates are jeans with a sexy top, kids moncler heels and a great jacket. Well I bought this fabulous cape jacket a couple of weeks ago and I have been dying to wear it out. So why not tonight!

Cape jackets and cloaks come in and out of fashion every few years, moncler boots and this year is a definite “in year” for them. There are all kinds of takes on them on the runway and in the stores from tailored to feminine, moncler cap cropped to long, moncler jacket men architectural to soft and drapy. So basically there is something for everyone out there. They usually look best with a slimmer silhouette in the bottom like leggings or skinny pants but you can also wear them with skirts or dresses but I would still stick to slimmer silhouettes underneath. One way that I have seen a lot of designers showing this season is the longer capes or cape jackets with the same length skirt or dress underneath which actually looks really fresh. I would stay away from wearing them with an over sized bottom; you don’t want the outfit to take over you.

I chose to wear mine with a simple white tank top underneath because I liked my arms showing to give it that sexy look since this was a “date night”. Normally they look great with a long sleeve top underneath but make sure the top has a slim or tight sleeve. Long or short gloves look great with them as well. Try carrying a clutch bag as opposed to a shoulder bag which becomes cumbersome with the cape.

Below I have compiled a page showing some great looking cape jackets and capes so I hope you will get inspired and get out there and hunt for one!!

My Favorite Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall 2015–moncler jackets

My Favorite Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall 2015

New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 wrapped up last week.  It was extremely cold and snowy in New York and for the first time I was not jealous for not being there, moncler womens and was perfectly happy in the spring like conditions of Los Angeles.  As fun as it is to be in New York for these shows, mens moncler jacket you can find fantastic coverage of the shows at Style.com or other web sites and you can even watch all the shows live as they happen.

This season marked the last time the tents will stand in Lincoln Center.  We don’t know where they will be held next time but a lot of designers already showed at other location.  Mercedes-Benz will also pull out as the main sponsor.  It will be interesting to see what happens with the locations and new sponsors for the upcoming shows.

Mean while, moncler canada as usual I like to do a recap of my favorite looks and trends that were seen on the runway mainly for outerwear.  Below are the main trends that I picked up on:

  1. The 70’s vibe
  2. Belted coats and jackets
  3. Floor length coats
  4. Tweeds
  5. Plaids
  6. Suede
  7. Menswear
  8. Furs in all forms

A lot of these trends are perfect for outerwear and let me tell you there were some fantastic pieces on the runway.  I think the designers were inspired to do lots of warm layers and warm cozy fabrics because of the brutal winter season that is happening all across the country.  This was also why there were so many fur pieces in all types and colors.  There were also lots of wraps and shawls which were perfect for cold weather.

Below you can see some my favorite outerwear and jacket looks from NYFW.  Which ones are your favorites?
