The Workmanship Of My Acne Studios Jacket–cheap moncler jackets

The Workmanship Of My Acne Studios Jacket

The stores in Los Angeles have had some amazing end of the season sales and markdowns recently. A Couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to find this beautiful Acne blue peplum jacket in one of these sales.  It was the last piece and it had been marked down a few times.  Lucky for me,moncler grenoble I think the main reason was because it was such a small size.  I got a really good deal with this jacket since Acne Studios jackets are normally quite expensive.  Acne Studios is a company based out of Stockholm Sweden and the collection is designed by Johnny Johansson.

He is very good in mixing cool urban staples with a modern edgy twist with lots of attention to detail and a strong emphasis in tailoring and eclectic use of materials and custom made fabrics.  Recently they have opened a store in downtown Los Angeles (Eastern Columbia Building) near the garment district and whenever I am downtown I make sure to take a peek inside as they have beautiful jackets.

The first thing that drew me to this jacket in the store was the beautiful blue color and the raw edge detailing, moncler london but as soon as I put it on I also loved the shape of the body and the bell shaped sleeves.  I was mesmerized by how beautifully it was made inside which is just as beautiful as the outside.  As a designer, mens moncler I really appreciate good construction techniques especially in a women’s jacket. You don’t see a lot of construction like this in ready to wear jackets; they are mostly in high end designer levels or haute couture.  This is why I really wanted to share this with you and tell you a little bit more about the work that goes into a beautifully made jacket as this is a real treat for me.

The whole jacket is fused with a cream color cotton canvas interlining to give the jacket more structure and body.  This is because the blue fabric is too light weight for a jacket so designers use this technique to give it more body.  I have used this technique on some of our jackets as well.  In addition to this they have used a cotton crinoline canvas interlining layer in the bottom part of the peplum to make the peplum stand out.  Crinoline also known as horsehair is a material that is durable and easily shaped and used in clothing or hats to give them shape.  It is used a lot in wedding gowns or evening gowns.  The other detailing inside that I love is how all the seams and darts are clean finished with a binding made of the blue satin lining material to give the jacket a finished look.  This is a great way to show the inside construction of a jacket without it looking messy.  It is an alternate way to finish the inside of a jacket rather than sewing in a full lining.

Here I am wearing my Acne jacket with my favorite D&G flared black pants.  These pants have a bell shape to them and they compliment the bell shape of the jacket and sleeves.  Since it has been quite warm in Los Angeles, moncler tracksuit I just wore a tank top underneath and added two of my beautiful necklaces that I have just added to our jewelry selection on our web site.  These two pieces are sold separately and will look great on their own as well, moncler milano but as you know I love layering lots of necklaces together so I thought the two pieces together made a more dramatic statement.

You can find both necklaces Here and Here

What are your thoughts on the jacket and my new necklaces?

What Do You Think Of My Ultra Suede Cape Vest

Suede and ultra suede are one of the biggest trends for spring and after seeing some of the fall 2015 shows, veste moncler its looks like it is carrying straight into the next fall season as well.  I have been experimenting using ultra suede (faux suede) for some new jacket pieces.  As you know real suede is very nice as well but difficult to work with, monclere just like real leather you have to buy it in pieces not yardage and it ends up being very expensive when you are done making a jacket out of it.  Ultra suede on the other hand comes in yardage just like any fabric and still has the look and the feel of suede.  It is the perfect kind of suede to use for spring, moncler t shirts since it is lighter weight as well.

We have barely had a fall/winter season here in Los Angeles, moncler mens jackets and this last weekend it was once again ridiculous with temperatures well into the high 80s and it felt like summer.  So after a really busy work week, moncler jakker my husband and I decided to head to Santa Monica beach to enjoy a nice Saturday out in the sun and grab dinner somewhere to see the sunset later on.

I decided to wear this tan ultra suede cape vest for the outing which is a one of kind sample that I wanted to get your opinions on.  I love hearing from you all every week and this is the best way for me to get product feedback from readers and customers.  Originally I was going to wear a long sleeve top under it but it was so hot that I had to go with a tank top instead, moncler homme of course it could be worn with a long sleeve top underneath for cooler days as well.

My outfit was pretty simple and casual so this cape vest was a fun addition to throw on and make the outfit more exciting.  I also added this fabulous necklace that we have just added to our web site and I love it.  Its my personal favorite color combination of gold, moncler jackets turquoise and brown and works perfectly with this outfit.  You can find the necklace here.

Womens Plaid Jackets – I Am Mad For Plaid | Jacket Society–cheap moncler jackets

I think it’s safe to say that one of the biggest trends for this “Fall 2013” is plaids and tartans in various colors and sizes and on all kinds of silhouettes, moncler jassen either as an accent piece or as a complete head to toe outfit. I personally love plaids but I have to admit they are not always easy to wear for everyone. I feel a lot of women stay away from them because they just don’t know how to wear them.

The good news is that there are so many different variations of them out there, mens moncler jacket from small to big, moncler usa colorful to monochromatic, moncler tracksuit or the good old fashion traditional ones that I think anyone can wear them if they find the right plaid.

I think the easiest way to wear plaids is through outerwear like womens jackets, moncler jacket sale vests or coats. So here is my advise on how I approach buying a women’s plaid jacket. If it is a big and bold pattern and colorful, moncler milano I look for a shaped or fitted silhouette; you don’t want the plaid to swallow you whole. If I love a big and looser silhouette, monclere then the plaid has to be smaller or a neutral color. As far as how to wear them, moncler acorus I prefer wearing them with neutral or black pieces, moncler jacke rather than matching them to the color part of the plaid or plaid on plaid. Also it is easier to stick to one plaid piece at a time in you outfit. This does not mean that you can’t mix the plaid with a check or stripe pattern.

Above you will see my inspirational look board page I have compiled to show you some my favourite jackets and coats along with some ideas to get you excited about going out there and looking for some fresh and exciting plaids for this season’s fall jackets. I know I will be out shopping this weekend, moncler grenoble looking for something new and exciting, I will share my finds with you in the near future.

I am very excited to announce that I am having my first “Giveaway” on one of our Jacket Society jackets, moncler kinder the Monterey jacket – a $219.00 value!!

No purchase is neccessary to enter this contest – just a valid email address – thats it! (scroll to the bottom of the page for the entry form) Contest Ends February 1st 2015

I have wanted to do a Giveaway for a while but the timing has not been right. I thought that the beginning of the New Year would be the perfect time to do one in order to show my appreciation for all my readers who support Jacket Society.

I first introduced you to this jacket in the beginning of December.  It has only been on our website for over a month and it has been one of our best sellers.

The Monterey jacket is our boucle Moto jacket.  I love this particular boucle fabric in the black/blue/white combo because it works perfectly with black bottoms or jeans.  Boucle fabrics are and were the signature fabric for Coco Chanel and her famous Chanel jackets which we all love.

Instead of doing a typical Chanel type jacket in this fabric I decided to do a Moto jacket and I love the way it came out.  It has a shaped body that is longer in the front and shorter in the back, moncler jacken with a nylon black zipper that picks up the black part of the blue/black/white boucle fabric.  It also has ¾ sleeve length and two welt pockets on the sides. One of my favorites for sure and I hope that who ever wins this will find it to be one of theirs.

Below are the photos from the blog story I did back in December – You can read the actual article by Clicking Here

As always I value your support and I value privacy – I do not share any information obtained on my site with anyone and only use it as a means to communicate with my audience – One Winner will be randomly picked on February 1st 2015  and will be notified via Email – you will have 48hrs to respond or another random winner will be picked and so on – Hopefully one lucky winner will have something to wear in time for Valentine’s day 2015 – This contest is open to everyone including our subscribers and followers world wide – (We will pay the shipping but you will be responsible for any duties or taxes for any overseas winner)

So once again thank you and good luck to everyone who enters.

The 2014 winter Olympics from Sochi are nearly half way through and there are still plenty of gold, moncler bady silver and bronze medals up for grabs, moncler jassen. There will be over 1300 medals awarded this year and I couldn’t stop myself from wondering if the fashion industry’s obsession with metallic colors this season is in any way influenced by the Olympics.

A New York State Of Mind–moncler jackets

A New York State Of Mind

As I mentioned last week I had planned and booked a long weekend trip to New York City with my son, moncler jakker so last Friday we both headed out to LAX for a short fun trip to Manhattan. Even though it went by very quickly and we are home already, moncler femme we both felt it was the right amount of days for NYC since we have both been there numerous times before and we have seen all the tourist type attractions at least one time if not more. This trip was all about spending time together to enjoy shopping in the city, moncler store getting inspired by some museum exhibitions and energized by the vibe that is so unique to NYC.

Our flight Friday to JFK was smooth with no delays, moncler homme which was great, moncler hats and we actually arrived in the city in time to settle into our hotel and have a nice dinner. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt at 42nd and Lexington right next to the Grand Central Station and next door to the Chrysler Building, moncler kinder which is one of my favorite buildings in the city. We had stayed at the Hyatt once before a few years ago and thought it was a nice hotel with a good central location so that is why we chose it again.

Saturday started out over cast but developed into a beautiful sunny day and we did a lot of walking in mid-town with our first stop being Barney’s which is a must for any visit to Manhattan, moncler jassen especially this time of the year when they have lots of sales. Well, moncler canada lucky me I scored with a beautiful “Theory” blazer that was on sale, moncler coat I will definitely style it and feature it in one of my future blog stories. We continued on to Bloomingdales and stepped into a lot of other shops in between. It was such a beautiful day we could not help but stop by Central Park for lunch and some photos and then we headed up to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) to check out the Andy Warhol exhibit of “Campbell Soup Cans” and other works.  We finished the day with a delicious dinner at Scalini Fedeli italian restaurant in TriBeCa.  I highly recommend this restaurant for great food and service and value for a prixe-fixe meal.

Sunday was another beautiful day and after a quick breakfast in Little Italy, moncler vest we set off walking through Chinatown and finally to our main destination, Soho. Even though I still really love and enjoy this area, it is sad to see that all the unique small specialty boutiques have disappeared which was one of the main reasons I used to love so much about Soho. Now all the stores are major brands that we all see everywhere and it has lost its unique appeal a little bit now for us. This is the sad result of landlord greed and how small specialty stores can’t survive the high rents and lack of high priced item sales to pay those rents. Regardless, we still enjoy Soho and we had a great shopping day, with a yummy lunch at the Mercer Kitchen and then later that evening dinner at the Balthazar, both restaurants have been there for a long time but I still love eating at both places and highly recommend them.

Monday we explored the Meat packing district and walked some of the High Line, which is an elevated park that is very popular and for good reason. It’s actually an old rail line that has been re-purposed over the past decade as a 1.45 mile-long green space, running from Meatpacking district to the northern edge of Chelsea. It was inspired by a similar project in Paris “Promenade Plantee” that was completed in 1993. We only walked a part of it as it is quite a long walk and we wanted to cover other areas like West Village and Greenwich Village and Chelsea. Even though we got some serious rain and thunderstorms that afternoon, we managed to see a lot and it was great fun.

Our last day was Tuesday but we only had a half day to accomplish everything as our flight was at 5pm. We were in a “New York City State Of Mind” and I really wanted to see this exhibit that is being held at the Met called “China through the looking glass”.  I am so glad we made the effort to get an early start because it was well worth it, especially for me. Look out next week, I will have a full blog story about this exhibit.

We took a lot of pictures on the trip and it has been hard to edit them for this blog story, but I have included some of our highlights below for you to see.  I had a fantastic time with my son in one of my favorite cities in the world and I can’t wait to go back, but I have to say it feels great to be back home.

Looking forward to hearing some of your thoughts and comments about NYC.

Our flight Friday to JFK was smooth with no delays, moncler homme which was greatmoncler hat, moncler hats and we actually arrived in the city in time to settle into our hotel and have a nice dinner.

Well, moncler canada lucky me I scored with a beautiful “Theory” blazer that was on salemoncler outlet uk, moncler coat I will definitely style it and feature it in one of my future blog stories.

Regardless, we still enjoy Soho and we had a great shopping daymoncler polo shirt, with a yummy lunch at the Mercer Kitchen and then later that evening dinner at the Balthazar, both restaurants have been there for a long time but I still love eating at both places and highly recommend them.

I had a fantastic time with my son in one of my favorite cities in the world and I can’t wait to go back,
