More Tips On Transitional Dressing Into Fall

Last week I wrote about transitional dressing and how I incorporate some spring pieces into my fall outfits. Well I wanted to continue on the same idea this week and talk a little bit more about the “transitional season” which is actually a “big” season here in Los Angeles.
I found this geometric print soft jacket at Forever 21,moncler womens jacket of all the places, moncler mens a week ago. I was drawn to it for two reasons, moncler beanie one was the geometric print which is a big trend for fall 2014,moncler homme and second was the draping and asymmetrical shape. Normally I wear prints as a top more under jackets because I can never find a good printed jacket that I like, moncler mens jacket I really understand prints are very personal and it’s hard to find universal ones that everyone will like. So when I saw this in the store, moncler womens jackets I really liked the pattern and color combination. I also liked the fact that it was like a soft women’s jacket, moncler womens and because it was in a dark fallish color combo, moncler vest it made for a great transitional piece. I decided to purchase it and sure enough it gave me the idea of making it a kind of part two to last weeks story so i could give you a couple of more pointers about transitional dressing.

1. Find a light weight jacket or sweater to throw on but in a darker fall color. Even if it’s still 80 degrees outside you can have your soft jacket on and not be too hot but if it’s in a fall color you will still be dressed season appropriately.

2. Get a printed piece but in a dark fall color combo, monclere it can be a soft jacket or a blouse you can wear open and layer. The print can be a dark color way but the fabric can still be light so you don’t feel hot but you look like you have transitioned into fall.

3. Use fall color jewelry with fall color gemstones like amber, moncler hoodie topaz or jade and metals like antique gold, silver or copper.

I hope these tips are helpful to you and I would love to hear some of your ideas about transitional dressing.

  1. Beautiful dress! I really like the color and the material. shipping took about 10 days, which was fine. it is a tiny bit big on me, I ordered the medium size (I am 5’7", 130 lbs). I got so many compliments. Absolutely would recommend getting it for a romantic classy look! 0CommentWas this review helpful to you?YesNoSending feedback…Thank you for your feedback.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Really disappointing. I usually wear a 12/14 and have a DD chest, decided to go with the XXL. It does fit well, but I can’t get over how cheap it looks. Will probably try to return it.

  2. I am 5’10" and an evenly proportioned 210 lbs, with a 40DD chest. I really like the color and stretch to this dress, but I had issues with three main things. First, the chest of the dress starts too high and thus ends too high on the torso. Secondly, the flair of the dress at the hips was a bit more than I expected. I will say that I’d rather have more flair than not enough, but it kind of felt like the dress was clinging for dear life on the top and running away from the bottom half. Finally, what makes this dress unwearable for me is how tight the back of the arms are. It is a cap sleeve so I was thinking that I shouldn’t have an issue with it, but the give in the sleeve is not the best. I’m going to return it.

  3. This is a fantastic dress. I’m 5’4", 36 DDD chest. I bought a size large and it fits perfectly. It hits mid thigh on me. It’s stretchy enough to let you and the girls breathe. But doesn’t cling too tightly to show all your extra pounds. I bought the green. It looks absolutely wonderful with a thin sparkly belt. It’s the best summer dress I own. Go for it, girl! You won’t be disappointed!moncler jacken
